Skills and Knowledge:

• CCNA/CCNP/JNCIA/MTCNA certified or equivalent level of knowledge
• Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
• Good experience with Juniper, Mikrotik, Cisco, Nokia, Raisecom, ZTE, BDCOM devices
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining L2/L3 network in an ISP environment
• Advanced networking skill in organizing, planning, installing, deploying and supporting an organization’s networks
• Advanced analytical skill when evaluating networks and systems to make sure that they perform reliably and to anticipate requirements as customers’ needs change
• Ability to describe problems and their solutions to team workers. Ability to use analysis and critical thinking in order to assess processes and recommend effective and efficient solutions

Position Summary:
The Sr. Network Engineer – Team Lead (Access & Distribution Team Lead) should be a self-motivated individual able to provide ongoing day-to-day work to the network operation team, with the ability to focus on the reliability and efficiency of the Vianet network. In addition, the successful Sr. Network Engineer – Team Lead candidate should be able to manage project-based activities including the tracking, scheduling, design, and implementation of OLT’s Switches and its firmware upgrades.
The Sr. Network Engineer – Team Lead will act as the team-lead overseeing the daily tasks of the Network Operation Team.

The normal work week will be between the hours of 9:30AM and 5:30PM, Sunday through Friday although, on rare occasions, the candidate will be required work off-hours on critical issues.

Major duties and responsibilities:
• Deploys, monitors, and maintains network equipment
• Provides technical support to inter-department and customers
• Creates and maintains deployment and support documentation
• Works with inter-department to deploy new hardware and system on the sites
• Works closely with the inter-department for new deployment
• Installation of network hardware (OLT’s/Switches/Routers) and software upgrade with other network elements
• Ensure stable and reliable network services
• Day-to-day network performance monitoring
• Network troubleshooting and fault analysis
• Verification and audit document preparation of the POP and maintain the standard procedures (SOP)
• Mobilizing team according the requirement of work
• Team Coordination between inter-department and third party
• Maintain physical links under 50 to 60 percent of utilization
• Actively monitor and proactively address alerts encountered by users and automated monitoring systems
• Make timely upgrades and repairs to ensure systems are operating optimally
• Maintain inventory and configuration documentation
• Maintain the QoS of the L2 Network
• Coordinate with 24×7 on call support team for network availability
• Define and document best practices and day to day work procedures; Interact with vendors and team members at the technical level, as required
• Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts
• Maintained network KPI’s
• Maintained 99.99% of network availability
