Senior Network Engineer
Responsible for NOC operation on shift basis (Morning/Evening).
• Responsible for monitoring & maintaining core MPLS routers, Switches and Upstream Network.
• Assisting Supervisors.
• Co-ordination with Access & Distribution and Transmission team.
• Good Knowledge about TCP/IP Networking, MPLS, IP Routing protocols, IS-IS, RIP, OSPF,
BGP4, MP-BGP, L3-VPN, L2-VPN, IPSEC and SDWAN
• Configuration, troubleshooting & maintenance of OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPLS, LDP, RSVP,
LACP, STP, QinQ, EVPN.
• Trouble Shooting and Fault Analysis for Internet, Intranet & MPLS Network.
• Monitoring network performance, diagnosing and correcting network issues.
• To identify Backbone network congestion issues and co-ordinate with Network planning and
rollout teams to ensure timely capacity upgrades
• To contribute to Network performance and customer satisfaction business objectives by providing
high quality second level technical support on all backbone network platforms and services.
• To implement assigned high impact and complex changes on the backbone network infrastructure
while demonstrating highest adherence to network change management procedures
• Professional level of knowledge and hands on troubleshooting experience on one or more than
one of the following technologies: Cisco Routers (NCS 5000 Series, ASR9K),Juniper Routers (
MX Series MX104,MX204,MX480, MX960), Mikrotik, Huwaie and ZTE
• Excellent Analytical and trouble-shooting skills
• Good understanding of Telecom Service providers Networks and Services

• Reports to VP Network Operation

Major Duties:
• Assist in establishing network system by evaluating network performance issues including
availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the installation,
configuration, and testing of equipment; (L2/L3)
• Participate in network upgrades. Assist in developing, testing, evaluating, and installing
enhancements.
• Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining
documentation.
• Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance
tuning; troubleshooting network problems.
• Involve in router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
• Ultimately, be responsible for providing support to clients as appropriate. Ensure no disruption of
service and adhere to high standards of service delivery.
• Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
